About the Event

The Society is pleased to host a two-part Ikebana series, to explore the inner universe and outer world through the practice of Ikebana.

The first part of the Ikebana series will include a lecture about Ikebana history, and a look at how this art form  has been developed through the years. Attendees will also learn about how ikebana is connected to nature, and how it is reflected through the seasons.

The second part of the series will include a hands-on workshop. By choosing the seasonal floral materials, attendees will be instructed to create a basic style of ikebana arrangement related to Heaven, Earth and Man. Attendees will be able to see the universe in their unique Ikebana arrangement.

This workshop is for beginning students, and is open to families and children over 10. Space is limited. All students will follow guidelines and curriculum to create their own arrangement. Students will receive additional individualized feedback from Ms. Wang on their creation.
