About the Speaker
Sachiko was appointed as the Director-General of the Japan Association for the 2025 World Exposition, in September 2022. She is conducting a Global communication team, and her responsibility is to raise global interest in to the 2025 Word Exposition, by planning and implementing promotional events and campaigns and building strong relationships with the global media.
Prior to her current position she has working experience in JETRO, a Japanese Government Agency under Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI) that promotes trade and investment between Japan and other countries. In JETRO, she has worked in various departments overseeing international trade fairs, supervising and operating international conferences. She was the Chief Executive Director of JETRO Los Angeles between 2012 to 2016.
