SUMMARY:Hinamatsuri: Girls' Day Celebration
DESCRIPTION:Hinamatsuri is a Shinto and Japanese cultural holiday. Hinamatsuri means Doll Festival\, but the day is also referred to as Girls’ Day. This festival is celebrated every year where families pray for the happiness and prosperity of girls. The day boasts a variety of seasonal sweets\, crafts\, and activities! \n\n\nThe Japan America Society of Chicago is proud to bring this girl-centric celebration which features: \n\nComplimentary mini ikebana floral arrangement instruction courtesy of artist Reiko Takahashi of Floral Ashirai. All sweets are from our partners at Hippo Pastry!\nKimono and cherry blossom origami folding and instruction.\nHinamatsuri themed crafts.\nComplimentary selection of on theme teas from our partners at Chicago Tea House\n\nPlease do not arrive to the event toward the end as your time to create will be limited… \nSpace is limited and we strongly encourage you to get tickets soon for this family friendly event! Registration closes 2/27 or upon selling out\, whichever occurs first. \n***Please note any dietary restrictions before consuming any sweets. \nTickets: \n$25/person all inclusive or $50 for family of up to 4 (includes 2 sets of sweets\, 2 ikebana arrangements total for group) \nJASC members $20/person\, $45 for family of up to 4 (for family of up to 4 (includes 2 sets of sweets\, 2 ikebana arrangements total for group) \n\nFor more information\, see here
