About the Event:
We end our Quest for the Best Ramen series at Torino Ramen in Wilmette. Choose a bowl of Torino Ramen, the restaurant’s signature chicken broth ramen topped with pork char siu (braised and marinated pork belly), soft boiled egg, bok choy, menma (seasoned bamboo shoots), bean sprouts and scallions or a bowl of Tantan Ramen, made from the restaurant’s signature chicken broth with house tahini topped with nikumiso (light spicy miso-flavored ground pork), soft boiled egg, bok choy, bean sprouts, scalllions and chili oil. Torino’s chef will also prepare a mini appetizer plate including kinpira (braised burdock root), karaage (Japanese fried chicken) & sunomono (vinegar cucumber and wakame salad) for each attendee. As an added treat, a team member will speak to our group about what makes their ramen unique. Torino Ramen’s menu includes the best flavors that the owners/ chef’s remember from their childhood in Japan.
