About the Event:
The Japanese government’s “Walk in U.S., Talk on Japan” program started in 2014. A delegation, led by former Japanese ambassadors or other public figures, visits various regions throughout the United States as a form of grassroots exchange. Participants from Japan, with diverse backgrounds and expertise, volunteer to join the program. While travelling in the United States, the delegation interacts with local communities, government officials, business people, and high school/university students to share their own stories about Japan, as well as what is currently going on in Japanese society.
